Enchanted Lake Residents Association, Board Meeting, Tuesday April 8, 2014
Present: Gus Gustavson, Bob Molyneux, Greg Colbert, Michele Compton (via phone), Margaret Novack, Stephen Kofsky, Jennifer Creedon
Cindy Turner (Webmaster), Bob Bourke (Scientific Advisor), Melody Spencer (Administrative Assistant)
Absent: Rod Castanha, Linda Jenks, Kelly Adams, Doug Kroll, Darren Rogers, Don Young, Kelo Maosi
A quorum was declared and the meeting called to order at 7:10pm
Girl Scout Oyster Project Keira reported that the council is reviewing her project idea and she is waiting approval. Plan to install oyster beds, filter out “bad things” in the water. The beds will be about 3’ by 4’. Greg mentioned possibility of concern from residents. Bob M. suggested doing an article in the newsletter to advise the residents of the project.
Ongoing Business:
Financial Report The Profit & Loss report and the current balances were reviewed. Jennifer will be starting taxes soon. Gus stressed the need for special assessment fees.
Lake Health Bob Bourke reported that the berm was opened last week. He stated that the evaporation exceeds the rainfall and the water level will drop this time of year. Bob shared that a lake member was reportedly cleaning fish into the lake, but the problem has been resolved.
Executive Session:
The board went into Executive Session to discuss the update/status of ongoing litigation. In addition to the board, Bob Bourke and Cindy Turner were also included as they are a part of the litigation liaison committee.
New Business:
Members Special Meeting Meeting to be held this Friday at Enchanted Lake Elementary. Gus stated that the agenda for the meeting will just be on the special assessment. Ballots have been made. 27 proxies have come in. Gus stated that decision will be based on the majority vote of members who are active (paid up). Cindy sent out emails reminding of the meeting and to send in the proxies.
Next meeting scheduled for 5/13/14, 7 p.m. at Kukilakila pool area
